Plumber Leak Repair and Pipe Services in Metro Atlanta

All Purpose Heating & Air Conditioning has been finding and fixing leaks for Metro Atlanta homeowners for more than 35 years.

A Leak Does Not Wait. Neither Should You.

Plumber leak repair is the process of locating a hidden or visible water leak in a home’s supply or drain lines and repairing or replacing the affected pipe section. For Metro Atlanta homeowners, All Purpose Heating & Air Conditioning handles the full job: detection, repair, and pressure testing to confirm the fix holds before we leave.

Water leaks are not always dramatic. A slow leak inside a wall or under a slab can run for weeks before a homeowner notices anything at all. By then, the damage is already spreading. Finding it fast and fixing it right is what keeps a small problem from becoming a big one.

All Purpose Heating & Air Conditioning is a locally owned company that has been working in homes across Georgia for more than 35 years. We are licensed and insured, and we bring that same experience to every leak call, whether it is a pinhole in a copper line or a section of pipe that needs to be repiped entirely.

If something feels off with your water, give us a call. We will come out, take a look, and give you a straight answer about what is going on and what it will take to fix it.

I had an emergency electrical outage problem in the kitchen/dining room area. The power outage affected the lights and several appliances. Ronnie performed a few troubleshooting tests of the breaker unit and outlets. He was ultimately able to pinpoint the source of the problem and discovered that the kitchen lamp fixture had a loose fluorescent bulb. After Ronnie tightened it, everything began to operate normally again. He was very thorough, professional, fair and courteous. I will contract his services for all my electrical needs in the future.

I received services twice this year from All Purpose; for the replacement of my AC unit and the replacement of my furnace and each time I received superb services. Mr. Rudy and Deron were in sync working together and making sure my home was cooling and heating accordingly. They also helped me set up my smart Thermostat and taught me how to use it, answering all my questions and concerns. Very reasonable priced and provide visual details of what's going on. I definitely highly recommend All Purpose Heating & Air Condition!

Signs Your Home Has a Leak That Needs Attention Now

Some leaks announce themselves. A burst pipe, water pouring through a ceiling, a puddle spreading across the floor. Most do not. The leaks that cause the most damage are the quiet ones, and they leave clues if you know where to look.

Your water bill jumped with no clear reason. If your usage habits have not changed but the bill went up noticeably, water is going somewhere it should not. Left alone, that loss compounds every month.

You feel a warm spot on the floor. A section of flooring that is warmer than the surrounding area, especially on a slab foundation, often means a hot water line is leaking beneath it. The pipe is heating the concrete directly. Ignore it long enough and you are looking at slab damage on top of the pipe repair.

There are stains on a ceiling or wall. A yellowish or brownish ring on drywall is water that has already been sitting there. The stain is the dried edge of a wet spot. The wet spot is still wet.

Your water meter is spinning with everything off. Turn off every fixture and appliance in the house. Go outside and watch the meter. If the dial is still moving, water is flowing somewhere in the system. That is a leak until proven otherwise.

Water pressure dropped without explanation. Low pressure at the tap can mean a supply line has a breach. Water is escaping before it reaches you. The longer it runs, the more material erodes around the break point.

None of these signals fix themselves. Each one points to a problem that grows the longer it sits.

How We Find the Leak and Fix It the Right Way

The first thing we do is find the leak precisely before we open anything. That sounds obvious, but it matters. Guessing costs you more in repairs to walls, floors, and ceilings than the pipe work itself. We use pressure testing and detection tools to narrow the location down before a single tile comes up or a wall gets cut.

Once we know where the leak is, we open the smallest area necessary to reach it. If the pipe runs under a slab, we plan the access point carefully. If it is in a wall, we make a targeted cut rather than opening a large section. The goal is to expose what we need and nothing more.

From there, we repair or repipe the affected section. What that looks like depends on what we find. A single failure point in an otherwise sound line may call for a direct repair. A section of pipe that has corroded, scaled heavily, or failed in more than one spot may need to be repiped. We tell you what we see and why we are recommending the approach we are.

After the repair is complete, we pressure test the line again. This is not optional. It confirms the repair is holding before we close anything up. If something is not right, we find it at this stage, not after the wall is patched.

We can also coordinate the restoration work that follows, so you are not left managing multiple contractors after the plumbing is done. The job is not finished until the fix is confirmed and the next steps are clear.

Leak Detection and Pipe Repair Across Our Metro Atlanta Service Area

All Purpose Heating & Air Conditioning serves homeowners throughout our Metro Atlanta service area, including communities like Alpharetta, Conyers, Peachtree City, Newnan, and McDonough. Wherever you are in our service area, the process is the same. We show up, we find the leak, and we fix it properly.

What changes from job to job is what drives the cost and the timeline. A few factors matter most.

Where the leak is and how accessible it is. A leak inside an interior wall is a different job than one running beneath a concrete slab. Slab leaks require more time to locate precisely and more care to access without unnecessary damage. Wall leaks are often faster to reach but can be harder to trace if the water has traveled from the source before showing up.

The pipe material. Copper, PEX, CPVC, and galvanized steel each behave differently and call for different repair approaches. Older galvanized pipe that has corroded through in one spot often has similar deterioration nearby, which affects how much pipe needs to come out.

The length of pipe being replaced. A short section repair is a different scope than repiping a longer run. Both are sometimes the right answer depending on the condition of the surrounding pipe.

The only accurate number is the one based on your specific situation. That is what the estimate is for. You can also learn more about related services we provide, including our water heater services for aging or failing units and our drain cleaning services for slow or blocked lines. When you are ready to get a real number for your repair, request your estimate and we will get on the schedule.

FAQ

Common Questions Process

Several factors shape the cost of a leak repair: where the leak is located and how accessible it is (a slab leak takes more time and care to reach than a wall leak), the material of the pipe involved, and how much pipe needs to be repaired or replaced. The only way to get an accurate number for your specific situation is to have someone look at it. Request your estimate and we will give you a straight answer.

Timeline depends on where the leak is and what the repair involves. A straightforward wall or supply line repair may be completed in a few hours. A slab leak that requires careful detection and access work will take longer. We pressure test after every repair before we close anything up, which adds time but confirms the fix is solid before we leave.

It depends on the condition of the surrounding pipe. If the failure is isolated and the rest of the line is in good shape, a targeted repair is often the right call. If the pipe material has corroded significantly or has failed in more than one place, repiping that section is usually the better long-term answer. We tell you what we find and explain why we are recommending what we are.

Yes. Leaks inside walls or beneath a slab can run for a long time before they become visible. The water migrates through insulation, framing, and concrete before it shows up as a stain or a damp spot on a surface. Signs like a higher water bill, a warm floor, or a spinning meter with everything off are often the first real indicators, and they should not be ignored.

If you have an active leak that is causing visible damage or flooding, shutting off the main water supply to the house will stop the flow and limit further damage while you wait. If the leak is slow and not causing immediate damage, you can leave the water on until we arrive. Either way, knowing where your main shutoff valve is located is something every homeowner should have figured out before a problem happens.
